01694  Sphalerite with marcasite on galena, Treece, Tri-State District, Cherokee County, Kansas.  This piece is from the Kansas portion of the famous Tri-State district and is dominated by a vivid red sphalerite.  Resting around the large sphalerite crystal are numerous "cockscomb" marcasite crystals.  As an added bonus, there are a couple of smaller sphalerite crystals sitting on the galena as well.  The galena shows nice form as well and is a perfect host for the other species.  Slight damage to a few of the marcasite crystals and the galena shows some natural contacts.  Measures 5x4x3.5cm  $40.00 Email Chris@christuckerminerals.com to order.
