01739 Hematite on garnet, Thomas Range, Juab County, Utah. Thin platy crystals of hematite with crude garnet crystals. The garnets are likely a spessartine-almandine mix, as that tends to be the norm for the Thomas Range. No damage to the main crystals. Snowy white calcite is present on most of the crystals of hemimorphite and a few quartz coated rock fragments are present on the piece as well. The hemimorphite crystals reach 2cm in size and are largely coated by a numerous with crystals of calcite. It is likely that both the heulandite and the stilbite are heulandite-Ca and stilbite-Ca, but no analysis has been done. No effort has been made to preserve the laumontite. No noticeable damage.
