Old Hickory Mine, Beaver County,
Utah
The Old Hickory was one of the main mines in the
Rocky Mining District. The mine dates from the early years of the district
and has seen activity in recent years. Two small pits at the mine, the
Maria and Bawana, are the main workings. The Bawana Pit is the type
locality for the mineral stringhamite.
