Keating Mine, Radersburg
District, Broadwater
County, Montana.
Discovered by John Keating, the Keating mine was one of the larger mines in the
Radersburg district. The mine saw periods of operation from the late
1860's through recent times. The Keating was a gold producer and did not
yield many well crystallized specimens. The mine did yield occasional
specimens of quartz and sulfides, primarily pyrite.
