Dandy Mine, Broadwater
County, Montana.
The Dandy explored several orebodies localized along fractures and favorable
bedding planes in quartzite. The mine is developed by several shafts and
several thousand feet of drifts and crosscuts. Whenever the Dandy was in
operation, it shipped the highest grade crude lead ore in the state of Montana.
The Dandy has been the source of small ugly wulfenite with sandy cerussite.

The Dandy as it appears from the southwest.

The headframe of the main shaft. In recent years the
headframe has been slowly falling into the shaft, today nothing remains above
ground level.
