D13 Barite, Pack Rat Mine, Carbon
County, Montana. This large piece is thickly covered with tabular
crystals of barite that are generally in the 1.5cm range. Scattered about
the barite crystals are small growths of white calcite, generally along the edge
of the piece. The barite crystals are present along much of the edges and
a few crystals are present on the back side. Not as bright and lustrous as
the above piece, and a few minor areas of damage prevent this from being an
outstanding piece. Measures 39 x 39 x 14cm. $750.00
