01241 Calcite, Bozeman Pass, Park County, Montana. Thin flat platy "argentine" calcite with a later second growth of calcite growing along the cleavage planes of the first. Other than the slight ding to the termination of the large crystal, this piece is perfect. Some minor patches of the rather uncommon mineral tyuyamunite are present as well. The larger crystals are all twinned and have oriented overgrowths. Minor amounts of natural petroleum is also present.
